Once upon a time, evening food at a wedding was pretty simple.
Perhaps trays of yummy bacon sandwiches and warm sausages circulating, or a buffet-style cheeseboard from which guests could help themselves. These days however there is an opportunity to be more creative and add a new dimension to a wedding with the arrival of a food truck.
Over the last 10 years we have seen the wedding food truck evolve from wood-burning pizza vans through to a wonderful array of mobile eateries. And if the venue lends itself to a festival wedding vibe, we’ve loved organising weddings where food trucks are not just the evening affair but provide all the culinary delights for the day. This really does require a certain type of venue with ample outside space, a relaxed guest list who will enjoy the help yourself choices available and a good wet weather contingency.
So if you’re looking to add some photogenic, delicious pizzaz to a Sussex wedding, for the evening or otherwise, here’s our guide to some of the best food trucks and mobile eateries out there:
This recommended list of favourites spans many cuisines from pizza through to crepes, Mexican, oysters through to ‘fish and chips’ and ice cream.
