We organise around 70 weddings a year across our stunning East Sussex wedding venues and love each and every one of them. We often get to know our couples so well that they feel like family but we also absolutely love it when there are some magical extra touches which make their particular day stand out from the crowd.
Here’s a round-up of some of our favourite added touches from some of our 2022 weddings:
Oh my days. The two weekends that Bob and Muesli the alpacas came to Firle Place were absolute highlights. Two of the cuddliest, most adorable furry friends you can imagine. Carlie from Jijis Rest can bring two or four alpacas to your Sussex wedding to mingle at the drinks reception and provide just the most perfect photo opportunity. Guests just love them and the snaps they take make their way to social media feeds super fast!
We’ve also had some horse highlights including an ice cream eating pony at Montague Farm and the awesome arrival of groom Amal on horseback upholding a wonderful Indian wedding tradition.

There can quite often be a bit of a lag during the late afternoon of a wedding after a boozy drinks reception and lots to eat. One of our favourite Firle couples, Martin & Gemma, decided to enliven their post dinner lull with “Sing & Tonic” hour. Highly talented pianist and singer Adrian Dixon performed for a brilliant hour of songs requested by guests which ran alongside a stunning gin bar. Gin and singing along to your favourite songs. What’s not to love?

Photobooths Like No Other
There are photo booths and then there’s photo booths. Whilst this concept is not novel in itself, there are some truly innovative options available to you which will add som much fun and hilarity to your wedding day. Here’s a couple that we know and love.
Orbital 360
Entrepreneur uni friends, Merlin and Alan created this standout ‘booth’ concept know as ORB which offers a totally bespoke, 360 video experience for you and your guests. With a booth for up to six people, this breaks into new frontiers of individual or group videography. This is so more than the usual static image photobooth you’ll have seen, but rather one that creates bespoke videos for you and your guests. Just imagine, movie-making at your wedding!
